A: When you rent with Blacksford you have the option to add full trip planning services. We have custom trips for a daily fee or pre planned trips (bookable until Dec 31) for a flat fee.
A: The biggest difference is custom trips the itinerary is driven completely by you. Based on your interests and timeline we create an itinerary just for you. With pre planned trips overnight destinations and timeline have already been determined and are not flexible.
A: Trip planning fee is $299 per day and includes the cost of campgrounds. Any additional activities you choose to add will be billed separately. Itinerary includes the best route, restaurant, hiking, and activity recommendations tailored to you. This option is ideal for someone who wants to show up to their RV, hop in and start vacationing, no planning involved. We understand that some people do not have the interest or time to do their own research and that’s what we are here for.
A: Once you add trip planning to your booking we send you a questionnaire. This questionnaire covers your expectations, past experience with RVs & parks, what type of trip this is and anything else we thought could help us better understand you. From there we create an outline for your trip and discuss it. As the date gets closer more details will be added to your itinerary which could be anything from the address of your campground to our favorite hike that falls along your route.
A: Adding trip planning takes the guesswork out of your trip. A local will be on the other end of your interinrary to guide you the whole way. From tips on where to park to the best way to avoid crowds, we have your back. Trip planning takes the research out of going to a new place.
A: Yes! Trip planned itineraries give you an outline full of options. While we choose your general route that makes sense for your timeline, oftentimes your day to day is up to you. If you’ve booked an activity that particular day may be a bit more structured than others but do not worry. We are accounting for the fact that this is a vacation and that you may want to do your own thing. Recommendations are optional and all recommendations are thoughtfully made with you and your group in mind.
A: Our most requested destinations are Yellowstone (2 hour drive to West entrance, 1.5 hour drive to Gardiner entrance), Tetons (4 hour drive through Yellowstone) and Glacier (5 hours drive to west entrance).
A: Covering Montana’s top travel destinations we have 5 different options for pre planned trips. One fee covers trip planning services, campground fees, and 1 family activity. While overnight stops will be determined by us this still leaves plenty of room to personalize your trip.
A: We will reach out to get more information about your group and what you’re goals for the trip are. After you return the questionnaire we will begin booking your campsites and settling on activities.
A: Activities may not be appropriate for kids age 5 and under. If your kids are 5 or younger please check with us before booking.
